Mathieu Robin

On 9 and 10 March, the Master FICTION receives Mathieu Robin for a masterclass dedicated to adaptation.

Scriptwriter and director, Mathieu Robin lives in Montpellier. After studying cinema, he wrote and directed his first short film in 1996 and co-wrote in 2004 the feature film Les Grandes Personnes (directed by Anna Novion and released in theatres in 2008).

In 2005, for Actes Sud Junior in the “Ciné-roman” collection, he co-wrote his short film “Pensée assise” which was re-released in 2015 in the Roman Ado collection. Dysorthographied, literary writing remains complex for him. He therefore favours the development of audiovisual projects.

In 2013, he returned to literary experience with a commission: the biography of an architect. This long and intense writing enchanted him and allowed him to tame his dysorthographia. He then rethought of a story that has haunted him for several years and wrote “Ses griffes et ses crocs”.
